“ Authentic Punjabi Flavors & Amazing Ambiance! Haveli Punjab Di brings the true essence of Amritsar to New Jersey with its vibrant Punjabi aesthetics and an incredible selection of dishes straight from the streets of Punjab. Here's what we tried: Chilli Chicken Momos - Packed with bold flavors, perfectly saucy, and absolutely delicious. Tandoori Chicken - Marinated in rich, smoky spices and cooked to perfection. Amritsari Fish - A staff recommendation that did not disappoint! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and served with mooli and chutney. Choley Bhature - Nothing short of perfection! Fluffy bhature paired with flavorful choley. The Star of the Show - Amritsari Kulcha - Buttery, crisp, and bursting with flavors, served with chutney, dahi, and choley. Just like the ones in Amritsar! We were already full, but we couldn't resist the main course: Dal Makhani & Tandoori Roti - Creamy, rich, and an absolute comfort meal that made us overeat--totally worth it! Hats off to Haveli Punjab Di for an unforgettable food experience. We'll definitely be back for more! ”
“ Heard great things, but didn't think it would be this good. The ambience is awesome, the service was phenomenal, and the food was out of the world. The dish I had Amritsari kulcha, and this is not a easy thing to make since it's a very traditional local dish from a region that has been cooking it for generations and they were able to knock it out of the park. The flavors, the crunch, the intensity with the onions with the side Chutny, chickpeas and yogurt everything was so traditional and good honestly forgot where I was sitting. Will be back to try other things as well, but for this dish and the ambience five out of five ”
“ Very tasty indo Chinese food. Definitely go back to try authentic tasty Punjabi food. ”
“ This place was packed we had to wait about 30 min to get a table and food was amazing it's also byob. Their Panner tikka Masala and garlic naan was amazing so were their appetizers they have sittings just like in Punjab which was unique ”
“ Kidaan New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia valiyo! I'm back at one of my all-time faves to beat the December chill! You guessed it -- I'm at Haveli Punjab Di, and on the menu is Delhi-wala butter chicken, creamy dal makhani, crispy yet spicy Bullet naan, and luscious paneer kulcha. Let's dive into some serious comfort food - take a big bite of the Bullet Naan and dunk it into the creamy Dal Makhani. The dal reminds you of that authentic highway dhaba style - rich, buttery, and perfectly spiced. And the naan- Soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, and the perfect partner to that creamy dal makhani! If you havent paired a paneer or aalu kulcha with butter chicken you are missing the biggest upgrade of your life! The kulcha is soft, warm, and packed with just the right amount of paneer, while the butter chicken is rich, creamy, and full of that smoky, spicy punch. The combo? Absolutely next level! Swaad aa gaya ji! ”
“ I have had very fine dining experiences here. I loved the paneer kaathi roll and Paneer Kulchap. I want to try the Sunday buffet. Highly recommend for dinner. ”
“ We had tandoor soya chaap which was very good! And ordered paneer lababdar and garlic naan for main course, the naan was excellent and would say the paneer lababdar. The ambience is very good ”
“ Amazing find. Felt like a hidden gem. The place takes you back to India. Awesome decorations, amazing space and great staff. Had such a great time dining here on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered chole bhature and paneer kulcha with tea. Food was delicious. Will definitely come back to this place to check out other options. Parking place is available just outside and it wasn't crowded when we visited. ”
“ Wow! Very close to the flavors you get in India! With all the great Indian restaurants in this area, this one is an authentic gem. Tandoori chicken was moist, soft bone-in chicken pieces in a fresh marinade of spices. This isn't the bright red, tough chicken you get at most places. Aloo gobi was awesome and richly spiced with a not so subtle essence of cardamom and ginger. The cauliflower and potatoes were perfectly cooked and not mushy. Instead of naan, we got the tawa roti which is bread roasted on a cast iron pan, made with healthier wheat flour and thinner than a naan that's made in a tandoori oven. Also got the tandoori roti, also made in the tandoori oven but with a healthier flour than a naan. Love naan but love the flavors of a roti. They are topped with ghee and served hot and fresh. I'm still dreaming about them! I had to get the palak paneer and its simple fresh taste gave us a nice balance with the complex aloo gobi. I've had better paneer though and was a little disappointed with it. Chicken sekh kabob was beautifully spiced but unfortunately it was a bit dry. The portions are generous and we had plenty to take home. The gulab jamun for dessert was just ok and didn't seem fresh. Service was great and friendly. The ambiance is a little unusual since it's a cafe in the morning and Indian restaurant in the evening. ”
